Is Kindness For You?

Kindness leads to many of the virtues to which we desire, as humans. Kindness is encouraged by every major belief, by leaders as diverse as the Dalai Lama, who says that kindness is his religion. When we focus on kindness, we ourselves becomes kinder. Our world becomes kinder. Kindness can lead us wherever we want to go- to a happier life, to being more connected to our faith, belief or religion, to enlightenment, to making a difference in this world. The reasons for being kind are innumerable. Here are just a few: Kindness broadens our perspective: In order to be kind, we have to pay attention to what is happening around us...see the bigger picture. As we notice more things and help oth

5 Things I Know For Sure About Kindness...

“If you haven’t any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart problem.” - Bob Hope With everything going on in the world, kindness can at times become a distant memory if we aren’t careful. I’ve had my share of things going horribly wrong however, I’ve also had experiences when things went amazingly right (THANK GOD!). Many wait until they are older before they share “what they’ve learned” but I think us younger folks have some wisdom to share also, don’t you think? Here is how this is going to work! The Possibility of Kindness.

"Be kind when it is possible. It is always possible." - Dalai Lama Kindness is a friend, a warm blanket...an energy. What if we put kindness above ourselves? I am excited about this opportunity to provide my thoughts on kindness with KAE. Excited about where it might lead. I feel like it's the start of something bigger. Being kind to others means also being kind to myself. Staying calm feels so much better than stress and anxiety! What do people think of me? How will I transition to my new job? Will I have time to see the wonderful fr
